Ahh, sweet soreness...

There's something satisfying about the soreness after an adjustment. I had an adjustment today, and just went to take a bite out of a slice of pineapple, so much pain! But it's kindof nice, because then I have physical proof it's working! KnoWhatImean Vern?

I have that feeling too. I always look forward to an adjustment. When the pain (well, I dont't find it real pain, it's more the feeling of the pressure on my teeth) is subdued I always think the braces isn't working anymore.

Pressure; good and bearable. Aches; OK. Sharp pain when 2 teeth meet unexpectedly; ouch!. Only thing I didn't like about getting my lowers on Wednesday was my uppers that were braced the week before; made a couple teeth shift a bit and made me bite on one upper tooth and one lower bracket. That stung a little until they added to the build ups.
Round 3 (lifetime) Damon stainless applied 3/16/20 (after 4 weeks attempting invisalign) On for about 18 months
Night time elastics with invisalign retainers; still...
Double jaw surgery was 6/18/15...
Orthodontics never really ends...
I'm emphatically against extraction orthodontics!

I just had my first adjustment today and I'm strangely looking forward to feeling more pressure. Haha. You're not the only one. Pressure = one step closer to straight teeth

I was put in a "finishing" wire on top at my last adjustment and I will say... That thing hurt! My ortho said it had more torque and that I should expect some discomfort. Boy was he right! I had a headache before I even walked out the door.

I too look forward to that discomfort though. Pain = Progress!
