When my braces come off, I'm going to eat Jelly Belly's and popcorn and go to the MAC counter to get a red lipstick. I've never worn red since my teeth were so bad !
What will your beautiful teeth celebration look like?
I went straight from the ortho's office to the nearest multiplex, bought a ticket to the movie that sounded most interesting at the time (happened to be "Monuments Men") and then got myself an entire tub of popcorn with extra butter.
(Popcorn is technically a "Whole Grain" food! That kinda cancels out the calories from the butter-like yellow oily stuff, doesn't it? )
I'm going to have tortilla chips with salsa, popcorn, bite into an apple, maybe have some red licorice.
I probably will want to go out for dinner and enjoy finally not having to worry about if I have food stuck.
I'm going to have all you can eat sushi, where I won't have to worry about the rice sticking in my brackets! The popocorn-at-the-movies idea is great, too. Still leaning towards sushi. Only 15 more days of torture!
Braces removed for 3rd and final time July 14, 2016!!!!
Permanent 8 crowns front 8 teeth (upper) January 30, 2015
Sushi dinner date night
Steak, salad, and crunchy veggies date night
Ribs until I explode (date night, or possibly eat at home, since it'll be embarrassing how many ribs I'll devour)
Popcorn
Apples
Celery
and salt water taffy
...But I've still got 1 to 1.5 years to go T_T
Braces on March 7th, 2014
Lower Jaw Surgery (BSSO) March 30th, 2015
I think my celebration will be a good ole BBQ. Ribs eaten off the bone! Corn on the cob!!!!! Biting into bread without it being gooey dough everywhere!!
Funny I already eat most of what you all have listed and I am in full Damon's. I will probably chew gum which I haven't in 8-9months. I know many on here chew gum w braces but I haven't done that yet. I haven't tried taffy or licorice either.
Lately I have been fantacizing about eating salted peanuts in the shell, probably because my girlfriend and I went to a baseball game over the weekend. I miss eating pretzels as well. It will be wonderful to eat a hotdog without half of it remaining on the hardware. Also opening a bottle of beer with my teeth.
OK just kidding on that last one. Never have ever done that but wanted to see if anyone was really reading my drivel.

I'm going to have a big, fat, juicy hamburger from a restaurant that's about a half a block from my ortho. These are the world's best hamburgers and also, quite possibly, the world's most expensive. For dessert, I'll have a big bag of peanuts.
I've been eating hamburgers, but only thin ones without a lot of stuff on them. I've been eating ribs from day one. The meat falls off the bone so I don't find any risk in them.
Fortunately, I live in Canada where most beer bottles have twist-off caps.
Corn on the cob (it just doesn't taste the same when it is 'off the cob')
A big, juicy apple
Extra crunchy peanut butter on very soft white bread
I'm with MrsCharisma on the nightly cleaning ritual! Mine has leveled off at 15 minutes and is getting very boring. Great idea to listen to music-- what's the best tune for flossing???
Braces installed on March 25, 2014: Damon clears on top and metal on bottom. I had braces for 25 months!
I'm 11 months out from getting my braces off and I still come across things that cause me to celebrate since I avoided them for almost 4 years.
Fresh summer corn on the cob was one of my favorites this summer. Eating lettuce. A nice piece of steak. (I still find myself cutting things up in tiny pieces even after all this time.). The cinnamon roasted almonds at the state fair. You get the picture. Lots of mini-celebrations on my end. When I say something to the people I'm with, I just get funny looks. Sometimes, I celebrate inside to myself.

Oh yes, corn on the cob. How could I have overlooked this?
Prof, here is a song that is not exactly about flossing, but should serve to provide that extra motivation for dental hygeine!
