Re: Inman aligners
Ooh that's great cjfarmgate I KNOW this is working. My teeth ache, my head aches. Owwww! I'm still struggling, but I guess because I lost the composite twice before I'm very wary.
Good luck having your impressions

Look like I've had botox, my face is quite narrow and my mouth is small but with the bow - WOW! Back on 30th Sept. Had a little more shaved. Whatever though, I'm glad I've got my comfort blanket back - it all means progress How are you getting on cjfarmgate?cjfarmgate wrote:Starnepus today's the day - hope you got your aligner back!

Starnepus, glad you have got it back, and on with the process again, can't be long now for you x
Cjfarmgate, how long has the process taken? You must be so pleased that you are nearly at the final stage.

11 an a half weeks until I got my plastic retainer (Essix) but by the time I have my veneers fitted it will be about 16 and a half weeks - not bad going though and I an really pleased.Oharecr wrote:Starnepus, glad you have got it back, and on with the process again, can't be long now for you x

Not much to report here, getting on well! Almost 6 weeks in, and hoping it'll be all done in another 6 or less!
Had 2 days this week where I couldn't wear it at all - a big presentation followed by a panel interview, and then I was bridesmaid at my cousin's wedding and had it out for almost 24 hours! I felt so guilty by the end of the day but I don't think it made any difference. I missed wearing it though which I never expected
Any updates with you guys? I think my gaps are closing, I'm overall so so so much happier with my smile already! I think I was a more severe case and already I think my teeth are practically straight. Anyone considering it I'd say go for it!!

Re: Inman aligners
That sounds great, really fast. Did your dentist say twelve weeks in total?
I had loads of movement in week 6. I'm in week 9 now but it's slowed down. I just have one tooth left to slightly straighten but I think it's going to be a slow one-daypartly because I'm wearing it less- only 15 hours a day. I just find it impossible in work. The odd hour here and there but that's it. Is anyone else wearing it for 15? Today was only about ten. I'm unmotivated because they are quite straight and I'm really happy with my new smile. Defo worth it!

Hi All
Great news Rosiesue, its amazing how much you miss it when you can't wear it for whatever reason.
tmcn - keep wearing it for as long as you can, you will have a much quicker result even if you can't see much difference, it does seem to slow down a bit at the stage you're at, but then all of a sudden your dentist will say "we're there" - such a good feeling!! Glad you happy with your smile though.
I get my veneers fitted next Wednesday, so excited

Re: Inman aligners
Great to here you are all doing so well, I am a bit frustrated that I had to have the expander first, so it has slowed the process. I go on Monday to have my impressions taken again, (6 weeks with the expander) , so hopefully in a couple more weeks I will actually have my inman xx
Re: Inman aligners
Wow those pics r great!real progress, amazing!!!!
Don't worry, it'll happen in no time! It happens quite quickly, you feel like you're getting nowhere and then they move so much in the space of a few days, that's what happened to me anyway! As my orthodontist says when I'm impatient- at least you won't be waiting two years with train tracks!

Hi I'm 32 years old and my biggest fear ever "apart from
Smiling " is the dentist !!!! . I have a very crooked front tooth which peptides and is 5mm over jet n a huge gap -very unsightly .
Always hated my teeth resulting in quite low confidence . Recently went with my mum to her dental appointment and decided spur of the moment to have a quick word with her dentist. He told me about the inman aligner , I had never heard of this before and was intrigued !! After a small amount of research I decided "before I changed my mind" to take the plunge and I am currently into my 3rd week of wearing it - on day one I thought it was the worst and most expensive decision of my life !!! Was highly embarrassed about how it looked , how it felt and mostly of how it affected my speech . I couldn't stop gagging and wouldn't talk and seriously wished I had not had it . 3 weeks in and my speech is almost normal as it was before , the brace is hardly noticeable and I'm finding it really easy to wear. There's not much info about regarding the IM so to anyone considering doing it I would say go ahead !! So relieved I had finally started to do something about my smile - only a short while in but can already feel movement :-) this site is brilliant for lots of worries and queries so a big thank you to all that take the time to post
