Anyone need ortho wax?

#1 Post by Ellabelle »

I have two packages of G-U-M brand ortho wax that I got for a really good deal on my supermarket's double coupon day. I prefer silicone myself, but I thought of y'all, so if anyone is interested, I'll mail out a pack to the first 2 people who pm me their address.

I have just started this days ago and haven't noticed anything horrible inside my cheeks except for weird puffy swelling only where my cheeks touch the braces. I was nervous to put wax on them as they don't quite hurt yet and I was thinking that maybe I needed to toughen them up so that they don't get any worse. I'm new and thinking this is either going to work or be a complete fail. Advice?

If you aren't experiencing any pain, I don't think the wax is going to help anything. I find it's usually best to let nature take its course and let my cheeks toughen up on their own.

I totally did let it go and have not had one single sore in my cheeks and one ortho had told me once that my lip muscles and cheek muscles were really tight so I think I dodged a bullet so far. (Knocking on wood..)
