I'm not far behind y'all! My orthodontist said my teeth and bite are now PERFECT, and we'll be scheduling a removal date at my next appointment on January 27.

I'm so very excited and nervous at the same time! Ready to be DONE with these suckers, but having major anxiety over the thought that I'll no longer have my orthodontic security blanket. I've read of similar fears and anxiety on the AW message boards and never thought I would be in that camp! Definitely having mixed emotions.

With adult orthodontia, chances are you'll have a retainer for life, even if you only have to wear it a few nights a week. Security blanket for *life*, albeit one you can take out...!

Hey guys! I've posted this on the forum but would be interested in your opinion/experiences.

I'm stalling with the deband. At the sides my teeth dont interlock exactly and there is a slim diagonal gap between upper canine and lower molar on both sides. It's taken a year to get my teeth to meet this much and I don't think its worth the hassle as everything else is good to go. So... what I want to know is do your teeth interdigitate/ zip up perfectly? Shall I just get them off? (Original estimate was two years.)
