Central and lateral incisor roots pushed together. Lateral no longer moving.

#1 Post by sizzletasticlily »

I've had a stand still lateral incisor next to the front or central tooth. I went to a board certified ortho for a free consult not trusting my ortho. It's been not moving for 4 months now and is very loose with a big gap. The x ray showed the roots of the lateral went into the roots of the front tooth.

The board certified ortho said he could fix it in 3 to 6 months. He repositioned the bracket and put in a metal tube thing between my front teeth.

I'm nervous because it's not moved it's been a week and very lose still. My front tooth next to it has become slightly crooked giving it an elongated look again compared to the other front tooth. I don't want my teeth and face more ruined.

I'm considering stopping treatment and getting bonding on the lateral incisor. Your thoughts.
