Swallowed bite block

#1 Post by kbh75 »

Anybody ever swallowed a bite block? I keep popping mine off no matter what I eat. They are made of a tooth like glue. This time I didn't realize it had come off and swallowed it. Should I be concerned?

I swallowed one about 40 min's after fitting!

I decided to try out "eating" with some bean stew and the thing just popped off.

Dentist fixed it back that afternoon and made it wider so it had more tooth surface to stick too and it's been fine since.

Though they feel quite big in the mouth, apparently they are really small in reality - about the size of an orange pip apparently - so swallowing them shouldn't cause any problems

Iv'e been amazed how quickly i have got used to them - it's only been 5 days and i barely notice them.
