Powerchains
From all of the reading I have done in this forum, I have come to believe that powerchains are used for primarily for closing gaps. At my last adjustment, which was also my first, I had a powerchain installed on my uppers. However, I had absolutely no gaps, and actually need some room for a few teeth to rotate. Any comments on this?

Echo, I don't know if this will help, but I've had powerchains for helping teeth to rotate, also when teeht are "inline" to help keep them there so they stay that way. Hope I was some help.
Best wishes,
Leah

Hi,
Power chains can also be used to help shape the arch. They work with the wire to evenly pull things into proper alignment.
I wish power chains came in multi-colours. Sometimes, I get bored of having all one color in a row. Has anyone ever seen or had a multi-coloured power chains?
take care,

I am always so confused at this board because I don't know what ligs or spacers or powerchains are. I've looked at the pictures in the FAQs of the main site but those don't even look like the braces I have. Mine are a silver wire that goes through a square on each tooth and the bottom half of the bracket is metal and the top is clear. There are no colored circles around it. There are also no colored oval things between each bracket. It is just the wire, and some parts have springs.
I don't have any colors on my braces so I am missing out
There is a red dot on the bottom silver half of one of my brackets. Does anyone know what that means?
I have springs between each tooth in the front and they close gaps. They are really painful. Are these called spacers, power chains, or are they just called springs?
