Wow..can't believe is already 5 months i came to this fourm..worried about wearing braces during high school..because i thought it was too late..or i didn't felt comfortable using them in high school.. is already 4 months.. from June 6. to Octuber... 7....my next appointment will be Nov 4.. Now i feel great.. it doesn't matter is still the same.. i am not embarrased or anything of that kind.. I have an underbite.. and will be going to surgery..i think in 8 months..or 14 months.. depends..but my treatments total estimate is 2 years..(like they always say)...
Here are some pictures..i don't have from the past...my ortho has...i am curious to see them after my treatment is over..!! as you could see..my left hand teeth are more visible than those on the right.. this is because they are positioning my teeth in a way that when i get the surgery..the top and the bottom meet together perfectly.. ISN'T THAT GREAT!!!
People who are reading this.. and are planning to get braces...GET THEM !! first days you will feel different but then you won;t even remember you have them!!
PS: From Junes..until now i have lost 80 pounds..not because of braces..is because i was 310 pounds..VERY VERY FAT ..now im just fat. jajaja with 230..and planning to loose 30 more..
Super news Joseph, that your braces journey is better than expected. I can see the happiness in your smile. Congratulations on your weight loss as well - that is a tremendous achievement as well!

Your teeth are really looking nice. Your arches are shaping nicely.
And congrats on the weight loss! That is a great thing for your general health, but it will also lower your risk of complications from the anesthetic when you have your surgery.
