Hi everybody.

Sorry for the delayed response I've had some surgery and have been recovering ! :)

The pressure behind your front teeth is normal. Don't worry about it. Your teeth will move at different rates so one week there will be pressure in one place and then the next somewhere different might hurt.

My teeth never actually got 'wobbily'. I mean if I sat there and pushed then back and forth there was a very very slight amount of movement. I don't think anybody needs to worry about them wobbling. If they do they do, if they don't then it's normal. Things will be straight in the end!

Thanks for the last comment about the teeth whitening. I got zoom whitening (at home) for a few weeks and then I bought a more expensive one, can't remember what it was called. Anyway, my teeth are so much whiter now. I think I started off at a C1 and now I am a B1 on the vita scale. I think B1 is the colour that dentists consider to be white. I will definitely look in to the other whitening product you mentioned. I am a bit obsessed now and I want them whiter and whiter.

For anybody worrying about retention! I got the nighttime retainer and the fixed bonded retainer. I think this was the nest decision I have made. From speaking to other people on different forums I have heard that without the fixed retainer people's teeth have started to relapse. I haven't had this issue at all. I did assume I would be prone to this as last time I had traditional braces they did relapse very quickly after treatment.

Any other questions then let me know.

Thanks guys x x

Thank you Beckisnoop :)

I have had my brace on for just over 6 weeks now and I cannot believe the difference in my teeth - they look lots whiter too as I'm not drinking as much tea or coffee, as an added bonus!

My dentist said it would take around 9 weeks so not long to go now I hope. Last week she changed the pressure from behind my teeth, so that instead my teeth are being pulled back in. I can sometimes see a change from one day to the next, amazing.

I'm seeing the dentist again on Monday and I guess (hope) it will be the last time before it comes off in a few weeks. She'l probably file between the teeth again - I hate that part!

After that I'm having Enlighten whitening and veneers but only on the front four teeth as they are a little bit chipped.

I can't wait to see the finished result now.

Thank you kattiar :)

Carolinev - I was predicted 9 weeks initially but it ended up taking a little bit longer. It's great isn't it. I couldn't believe how quickly everything started to move. Make sure you take lots of pics then you can see your progress and you can look back on it. I tried enlighten, it was alright. I know that the 'fangs' can be a slightly darker colour than the rest of your teeth and harder to whiten so make sure you give them a bit of extra attention. I was so excited to buy lots of bright lipsticks that I've never been able to wear! Haha. X

:-) it's funny you should say that... The thing I'm most excited about doing is buying a beautiful red lipstick and giving my biggest smile without a care in the world for the first time in my life! Xxxxx
