Hey buddy let's see some updated pics! Hope all is well! I see my ortho tomorrow to discuss palatal expansion and get a better idea of how much longer that would take! December will be 2 years in back braces for me and only 17 months in full braces

ajs604 wrote:Does anyone think my open bite has started to relapse following my brace removal? The orthodontist said to expect some relapse but I'm unsure. My teeth seemed to definetly overlap more than what they did when I had my braces first removed. I live in constant fear as not sure I could cope with more treatment. Would appreciate any comments. Thanks!
Just read your entire post, what an amazing journey and your final results look great! It still looks good to me :) I just started my journey a few months, the end seems so far away but I hope I end up with good results.

I had to edit the picture on my iPhone as it the file was too big. Here is a recent picture. I am only sitting at 1.5mn-2mm overlap now. I finished with 4-5mm so am a bit worried.

I do notice a slight space that has opened between your k9 and first premolar. Or that could possibly just be a problem with the photo? I really despise the resolution limits here because in a case like this it makes it pretty hard to judge the results.

Your bite is closed now, that is good. Do you have any scalloping of the tongue? Set an alarm for a random time of the day, and keep a mirror in your pocket. When it goes off, immediately use your phone selfy, or mirror, to see if you can see a very strong outline of your front teeth left on your tongue.

Your smile looks great still though TBH

Are the photos upside down because you are in Australia?
Sectional brace with Damon clear brackets fitted to front 6 upper teeth 3 January 2012
Brackets added to premolars 2 April 2012
Estimated treatment time originally 6-9 months
. Brace removed on 22 July 2013 after 18 months and 19 days
Now enjoying bonded upper retainer plus part time essix/hawley( I have both)
