Does anyone know at what stage 6mm(1/4") super heavy GAC SH6 elastics can be used to connect canines to molars on both sides? I'm thinking it's towards the end of treatment but i'm just curious if anyone has any info. please let me know!!!
Although I don't wear the same kind of elastics, I do wear extra heavy elastics and have had that configuration since last November. I was told that it would help my overbite and to help close my bite.
I guess it varies on individual case if it is towards the end or earlier.
In my case, it's been only 7 weeks since i got braced. In my first adjustment 3 weeks back, I have been instructed to wear elastics connecting canine to molar. But it is not heavy one. I wear 3M Unitech's Louie medium 7.9mm elastics.

I wore the same GAC SH6s, two at a time on the left for a long time. Elastics are only rumored to be an end of treatment stage, but usually it's not. Sorry..You are getting closer every day though right?
