Reverse braces facial damage

#1 Post by pw1981 »

Hello I m from Italy, sorry for my poor English.
Two years ago I had my four wisdom teeth extracted then braced for 15 months. Now my face is thinner, chin retruded, sunken and flat face, even my eyes look smaller.
I also started to have problem with respiration from the nose.
Is there anything I can do to reverse the results?

You become a mouth breather after your treatment? It is probably because your lower jaw had been moved back and you didn't need that. When you have a retruded chin or a bimax protrusion, you often breathe more by the mouth than by the nose. It was my case before receiving treatment (I had bimax protrusion but some side effects are common with people suffering from a retruded lower jaw). This can be reversed I think.
