At work a few days after wisdom tooth removal and still swollen!

#1 Post by FlowerPower »

I am the only one in the office and there is no one to do morning shift so I had to come in or end up giving night shift a heavy workload. I work in a hospital and no one has said anything about it but I've been hiding in my office all day. LOL The surgery went well but I had to have the bottom teeth surgically removed so they're still swollen. I had it done on Friday. Ugh! I just want this swelling to go away!

Hang in there. It will go away. I had all four removed at the same time on my birthday weekend in the dead of winter.
2-year sentence of clear top and bottom braces commencing March 23, 2016
November 2016 - Class III elastics (starts from the bottom canine and goes to the upper 1st molar) on both sides
December 2016 - Two front teeth filed (IPR?) to make space to close black triangle and a power chain; 4 front bottom ceramic brackets replaced with metal brackets to force the teeth straighter; 1 broken bottom molar bracket (courtesy of a Tootsie Roll craving);

You'll probably notice it slowly dissipating in about a week's time (post op, not from now) and another week or so for it to go completely away. Best of luck to you!
