No pain after 1 week in Damon braces... Is this normal?
I had my braces put on 1 week ago today and still haven't felt any pain. I'm able to eat with no issues; however, I think my bite has changed slightly because my front teeth are hiring my lower brackets. Is this normal to have no pain??

Yes, it's not uncommon in the early days because the first wire does not really cause dramatic movement, and is intended more to align the teeth. Of course you just jinxed yourself .

I am surprised that you have felt no pain until now. The day after I got braced I could not eat, my teeth were very sensitive. However, after 3 days I was fine. When I got my last wire changed it was painful again, not as bad as the first 3 days of treatment though.

So 6 weeks in Damon braces and still no pain or discomfort. I've taken pics since day 1 and I can't see any change. I'm getting a little discouraged

If it's any consolation I can pretty much guarantee that you'll encounter some serious discomfort before it's over, and look back on this post and think "Wow, those were the good old days." I didn't have a lot of discomfort either. It doesn't mean that things aren't happening. Pain is not a prerequisite.

I have a colleague who had braces 4 years and she experienced no pain whatsoever. She now has a gorgeous smile and seeing her teeth is what actually pushed me to go and get braced. So don't think that nothing is happening. Also I see that you have some space between your teeth before getting braced. Just throwing this out there but maybe because you don't have severe crowding it doesn't cause so much resistance and pain.
