Update on Damon Clear - apparently my teeth are moving fast!

Hi y'all!

I wanted to stop by the forum and give you all an update. I'm so pleased that visiting this forum and interacting with many of you made me take the plunge to get my Damon Clear braces fitted.

I had my second adjustment on Saturday and the ortho said my teeth are moving really fast. She showed me my moulds to compare before and now. My top teeth are pretty much straight and my arch much wider. She has switched me from a nickel-titanium wire to a stainless steel one on my top teeth. My bottom ones are all straight except for one stubborn tooth that needs to come forward, so she's put a coil spring between two of my lowers and said that should sort it out fairly quickly.

I wasn't expecting to have made this much progress already, especially as I hadn't really been noticing any major changes in my teeth on an every day basis.

That's great! I've had my Damon braces for 22 weeks and have also seen progress.

Great news and congratulations. Of course everyone here who has had their treatment extended due to slow movement will hate you -- just kidding of course! Keep up the good work!

Unfortunately now I am not feeling the way I did when I last posted at all! Really fed up. But I'm seeing my ortho later today so perhaps that will help.
