i've had braces since august of 2016, meaning i've had them for nearly five months now. that's really insane, because it feels like i've had them forever.
as of right now, my treatment is ahead of schedule. when i first got braces, i had brackets on all of my bottom teeth except my molars, and had about six brackets on my top teeth. i also got bite turbos placed behind my two front teeth to help correct my overbite. my second adjustment was in october, where i got brackets on all of my teeth except one of my canines, new wires on top and bottom, four springs and rubber bands. rubber bands were a living nightmare, considering i had to wear them for 22 hours a day. but i got used to it, and my persistence paid off!
today, i got the final bracket put on one of my canines. since it was small and covered by my gum (i have tiny teeth), they had to laser off some of my gum tissue which was not very fun. it hurts like crazy now, but i got my bite turbos removed and was told that i only have to wear my rubber bands at night! i also got my top wire changed, but my bottom wire's the same.
needless to say, i am so excited. my treatment was supposed to last around a year and a half (meaning i'd get braces off in feb 2018), and they said today that since i am taking great care of my teeth, that things are going quick! i cannot wait to finally get these suckers off, even if i have to wait another year. i wanted to share this because i'm elated and very very happy !!

Re: third adjustment!
I'm at around 17 months and it has definitely felt like forever several times over, but my biggest concern is the 2 implants I will be getting after braces (strictly because of the cost)
Lots of crimes here
1. The upper molars bite too far ahead of the lower molars
2. Missing teeth #s 9, 14, and, 29
3. Open bite
4. Upper midline left of center
5. Lower midline right of center
6. Upper and lower teeth not straight
Sentence - 24 months, turned to 27 month.
Braces removed since 11/06/17
