Look at the photo of young Willy Wonka below. If THAT was your only option for straight teeth, would you wear it for at least a year?

Only if an ortho who does this headger offers me a major role in the horror movie, so that I can make big $$$ while wearing it :-*
Had full mouth metal braces for 21 months. Debonded April 2013. Now wearing clear plastic retainers every other night.

I have no formal dental or orthodontic education. Hence, all opinions expressed by me on this forum are those of an "informed consumer" and by no means intended as an expert advice.

Not a blessed chance. If the usefulness of each part was explained to me...and the whole thing could be removed and was only to be worn at night.... and I lived alone... I still probably wouldn't!

So lets see if we can figure it out. There seems to be a reverse pull headgear....that part is based on an actual appliance. Anything else we recognize?

I would have to give that a big fat no! Can you imagine trying to pull a shirt on over that... I would probably have really big shirt neck holes from stretching them out...

This was a HUUUUGE factor in why I waited so long to get braces. I was terrified that I would need an ungodly contraption such as this. Luckily for me I don't..... so far. When I first saw this in the movie I just thought to myself, "oh dear god...."
