New to braces and a lovely tpa.. Advice is appreciated :)

Hello all my new Brace face friends.
I recently got my braces on Monday and got a TPA.. which I HATE.
Anyone have one? I was told I gotta keep it the whole term :'(. ( 2 dang years)
My tounge is so sore n swollen from this thing please tell me it gets better.

Also any ideas on foods Im sick of mashed potatoes n Smoothies n soup lol

Also anyone had a extraction in the front I got a gap hoping it closes soon. I had an extra baby tooth that never left me. Called it my little dagger tooth lol
