Hi Everyone

I have been viewing this forum for awhile and it helped me decide to go ahead with the IA so thanks for everyone's advice

I've been wearing mine for just over 4 weeks but havnt seen any movement although my bite has changed and the IA seems to fit in my mouth a bit better compared to the first day! My speech hasn't really improved either but I wear it to work everyday at first it was quite embarrassing as it did sound really bad but now I don't really care as I just the it to work as quickly as possible!!

Hoping I will see some movement soon! Is there anyone else who are in the early stages??

Have you been taking any photos? I found I couldn't really notice the differences without comparing side by side pics. This is my start photo with one from around a month in :

Wow yours has a lot of movement looks really good! My IA is for my two front teeth one is at an angle and over lapping the tooth to the side (I don't know what it's called) :)I've been taking photos nearly every other day but will do side by side maybe then I'll see some movement.

Also my dentist hasn't mentioned anything about having them tightened which I've seen quite a lot of people mentioning is that normal?? Perhaps I should ask when I next see him and he has said I don't need filing which I see lots of people have..

My dentist didn't tighten anything until near the end when my teeth were all straight, just then shortened the springs to pull them all in slightly. She moved the little lumps of composite a couple of times to adjust where the brace was exerting most pressure. She also filed pretty much every fortnight but I'm sure there are people in here who didn't have constant tweaks and still get great results, every case is individual :)

Hi everyone

Thought I'd provide an update..I'm on week 6 and am pleased with the results so far. I think I remember someone saying that one day you wake up and al of a sudden you see a big change which is what happened to me! The bar across the front of my teeth now sit in a straight line whereas before it was at an angle. When I smile I can no longer feel my crooked front teeth poke out through my lip. Will see my dentist in two weeks and will keep you updated.

Hope everyone's treatment is going well!
