I've had my braces since February and today I went in expecting a wire change, but found out it's time to get my pre-molars extracted. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Things have been going pretty slowly and I've read that once you get your extractions, you will notice changes pretty quickly, so I am excited about that! How long was the down time when you all had extractions? Was it pretty easy?

It takes around 30 minutes to extract a premolar, and generally the extraction itself doesn't hurt so much.

I had six extractions done at once. I was sedated. I only bled for one day, no swelling at all, and minor discomfort. He gave me antibiotics and lortabs 10mg but I didn't even need them. Take in mind two of these were wisdom teeth.
