Molar band aggravation, please advise for relief

#1 Post by NikNax »

A few weeks ago I mentioned I had to get molar bands. However they were preceded by spacers and today I got the bands installed. One is fine, the other is aggravating me. It's not sharp like being poked by a wire but feels rough to the point it's really irritating my tongue. I've tried to put wax on the area, but because it's on the last bottom molar, the wax won't stay put. Is this something that my tongue will eventually get used to or should I go back and have them try to smooth the band down more? Please advise.

I would absolute call and go in to have it looked at. Orthodontists have an entire arsenal of tiny tools to do all sorts of things, they should have one that can smooth a rough spot.
