Bite turbos and teeth grinding?

Bite turbos and teeth grinding?
Hi! I am new here and will be getting Damon clear with bite turbos behind upper front teeth in a few weeks. I clench/grind my teeth at night (usually my teeth touching/clenching are the first thing I notice when I hear my alarm go off in the morning). Ortho says turbo will help open the bite so this doesn't happen during treatment. I'm nervous I will break off the turbos during the clenching/grinding at night. I don't know how two little turbos can hold up under the pressure of my jaw clenching at night?? Will I damage my front lower teeth if the jaw is clenched, turbos and all? Does anyone have experience with this? Ortho says it will be fine but I'm skeptical. Thank you!
Re: Bite turbos and teeth grinding?
I have molar build-ups, my ortho refers them as turbos. Are you getting front turbos or molar buildups?
I got braced 4 days ago and the molar build ups have helped me trough the night. I am a long time clencher, and used a mouth guard for a year before getting braces, my main concern was I was so used to the mouth guard that I might squeeze too hard without it.

I'll be getting front turbos that will be bonded behind the upper two front teeth (!). I was hoping for the molar build-ups as those seem a little more reasonable and not like they're going to break off from clenching. Do you have an overbite? Glad to hear the build-ups are helping you through the night.

Interestingly, I tend to clench my jaws only when I had the turbos/stoppers on.
