Braces are off!!

So I finally got my braces off this week and am very excited to share these pics with you all! :D Debanding took about half an hour including photos, x-rays and impressions. I am mostly very happy with the results.

Things I did not expect after getting my braces off:
- My gums were puffy and sore for a couple of days
- My teeth started hurting after a few hours
- I did not immediately love my new smile after the braces came off (My teeth looked so big and strange!) but it doesn't take long to get used to them
- Wearing a retainer is worse than braces
- I just want to smile all the time!
- Eating without food getting stuck in my braces is an amazing feeling!!

Congrats! You’ve had an amazing transformation! I know how you feel about having your teeth seem so big now. I have larger than average front uppers anyway but now they just look even bigger. I know they are actually slimmer because I had some IPR done on them, but they still seem huge. Now I’m comparing my teeth to celebrities to see who's smile mine looks like the most. So far I think they look most like Lana Parrilla, but I have less of the straight edge than she does and I have more pronounced points on my canines, which I like.
Braces for 18 months/4 days.

Wow, your teeth and smile look amazing! I was impressed enough until I saw your "before" photo, then I was :jump: :jump: :jump:

Did your ortho file down your canines a bit at the end so they wouldn't be so sharp, I wonder?

Impacted upper right canine,
Severe crowding in lower jaw,
Had lower 2 premolars extracted on 10 June 2017,
Sentenced for 1.5 to 2 years.
