At Thanksgiving dinner i lost my retainers (in my living room); then found them after a lot of frustration, then i was impatient with cleaning them so i just left them in a bowl of how water.
They warped and shrunk and i was barely able to get them back in a close enough shape to use while i waited until my Ortho appointment to make sure everything was still okay.
Well this small gap i have between my bottom teeth mostly closed (i didnt think it was closing at first); and when i went to my appointment they said they wouldn't charge to replace the retainers this time.
Its such a relief because the $400 will be much better spent on 2 Dental Implants im going to get; which i see a dentist (well a specialist) about next week.
I only know the cost as i thought i had lost them and called the Ortho to make an appointment to get new ones and thats what they said; but since they arent charging thats $400 saved.

I wonder if you put them back in hot water and tried them on while they were warm would that help (in case spending $400 would have been needed) get back to original shape
Glad it worked out in the end!

Thats what I did to make them usable, otherwise they wouldn't have fit at all.Bracingmyself901 wrote:I wonder if you put them back in hot water and tried them on while they were warm would that help (in case spending $400 would have been needed) get back to original shape
