I would have loved this thing had I know of it's existence when I first got braced. It's a cover for your brackets to help the abrasion caused by the braces.

Oh it was out there, but nearly impossible to buy online. I was looking at them 6 years ago. I had one french horn teacher who actually had a bunch and let me try them. They're great for during band/ practicing, but I wouldnt want to wear them all the time, too awkward.

Has anyone tried one of these with gap-closing springs??

I think it would be a good thing for me, but my teeth are so misaligned and sticking out or set back, I don't know if it would stay on.
