Try it! I have noticed that the bright colored bands tend to not stain and they also keep their color better than the clear and pastel ones.

After getting my braces put on they told me to eat soft food like pasta. So I went home and made some instant mac and cheese. Long story short they turned my pearl elastics into neon yellow. Avoid mac and cheese at all cost.

The problem is that it is easy to become complacent about things like sauces!!! Burger sauce has mustard in it - it stained the glue and the ligs round my brackets a lovely light yellow.
It looked slightly better once the ligs were changed but I had to live with yellow looking teeth for 3 weeks until my next appointment and then I was told by my orthodontist that yes, the glue will stain - bit annoying as the ceramic brackets are lovely and white but the glue round them is still yellow tinged. I'm hoping the hygienist might be able to do something but I'm doubtful! And I have a least a year to go before these come off....wish I'd known at the outset that the glue can stain.

It's best to check all sauces because I discovered that an innocent looking pale cod mornay sauce had tumeric in it....
