Deep Bite and Over Bite Friends what is your treatment like + advice??

Hello! I am just a newbie in braces ( Only top in right now and had them for almost 2 months ) I am getting my bottoms September 5th I think, if my teeth allow it.
I was just wondering what is your treatment like? what appliances did you get? rubber bands? herbst? bite plate? turbos?
Also, did you get an appliance when you got your bottom braces in?

My treatment was pretty straightforward. I had 4 premolars extracted because I also had a protrusion and moderate crowding on top of a deep overbite. I didn't get any appliances at all and only started wearing rubber bands about a year into my treatment. The first 6 months or so were basically to unravel the crowding and align my teeth and the rest of the time right up to now, was to close my extraction gaps.

I am 3 weeks into a full set of metal braces. It will be 8 weeks until I return to the ortho for my fist adjustment. At the initial placement the ortho put on just the braces (top and bottom). I am anticipating a full array of elastics (rubber bands) as I move forward. I feel this way because I have too many hooks on my brackets to count and I know through my research that the hooks are for elastics. Based on my consult I am pretty sure what kind of elastics I will have.

I have experienced mild discomfort, but very little pain. Since I am an adult, I have had to answer countless questions concerning the who, what, when, where, and why of braces at my age. This is just the beginning of my journey, but I am willing to suffer the inconveniences of the braces to fix a multitude of dental issues.

Okay so I have been in braces for 26 months as of now and my teeth are so freakin stubborn!! My overbite is mostly fixed but since I had bimax protrusion, I had 4 pre molars extracted at the start of treatment and those extraction gaps are not closing. like I think thats the only part of treatment left, my bottom teeth are great but the top arch still has 2 tiny gaps and my orthodontist wants them closed before moving into the final wire on the top. I'm so anxious as I really want these things off :/
