I smile more
I eat less (snacking is almost completely out)
I talk more (eventhough it hurts most days unless I'm waxed up)
People I don't even know compliment me on my braces or say I've lost weight
I've lost at least 15 pounds so far, but I've been mega-hungry the last few days so I doubt that number will stay that high.

I like the fact that my "crush" tells me how cute he thinks they are....it makes me feel young.

I know that's a little silly, but you take the complements you can get. ;)

What a cool topic!!! :D

Since I got my braces I: brush more, always have a conversation piece in my mouth, and I LOVE to smile (as opposed to my self conscious smile before) :pinkbraces:

People think I'm still in high school! =)

Plus, it'll be worth it when they come off.

Food choices are easier!

I don't dither over a menu as much. I just go right to what I can handle, whether because of tenderness or not wanting stuff hanging from the wires, and that makes it all much easier. I'm sort of a 'foodie,' so I guess paying less attention to food overall might be a good thing for a while....lose weight, stop annoying my friends about things that are not 'perfectly prepared,' yadayada.
