Hi everyone. I posted a couple of years ago about how I never finished my treatment from when I was a teenager. Long story short, I decided to finish it and I've now been in braces for about a month.
I'm due to get a Forsus appliance in a few months. I would love it if someone could tell me whether I will be able to sleep on my side. I am exclusively a side sleeper. I would be unable to sleep in a different position just for the Forsus. Nothing else about the Forsus remotely bothers me. Just this one issue.
My orthodontist told me that it shouldn't be a problem, but I found a YouTube video of of some girl who said it dug a hole in her cheek as she slept on it. That may just have been her own experience though. I'd love to know from those who have worn it whether it will be a problem so I can bring this up at my next appointment.
Thanks for your help!

If your ortho says it's not a problem, then I guess it should be fine. I personally didn't have a forsus, so I can't relate my experience, but if they do cut your cheek up, try going to bed with wax nightly. I personally went to bed with wax every night during the beginning few months of my treatment as my wires would cut my cheeks often.
