When did your ortho activate your impacted canine after exposure?

#1 Post by angeamber »

Hello all,

I'm having a little concern. It's been almost about a year since I got my canine exposure surgery and my ortho has yet to start pulling on the tooth... I'm starting to get a little worried that the tooth will never move, especially that it's exposed and just "chilling" there. I'm definitely going to voice my concerns to my ortho at my next appointment, but it's starting to worry me.

I had 4 extractions for my case and I think the fact that the gaps and the tooth not closing is giving me anxiety.

Thanks for all your answers :(

Mine started pulling on my tooth 3 weeks after the surgery, all he waited was to make sure the stitches were healed.

It could be that the gap for the tooth isn't wide enough yet for the tooth to get down?
