Ok - I get it -- you want to learn about braces, or see if what you are experiencing is normal.

I have been through two years of braces and just got de-bonded this week. (That is the official term for getting your braces off!) Anyways, I read this forum A LOT during that time. It was really helpful, especially as an adult who had braces for the first time. My real-world life is not filled with other adults going through this!

I LURKED the entire time I was in braces. And now that they are off, I registered. What a weirdo. Now I feel like I want to share my knowledge. Don't be me! Ask questions. Help people looking for answers.

Also, my teeth look AMAZING, and I am so happy I went through the process. And that is EVEN WITH having multiple gum grafts. It is sooo worth it. Stick with it!

Welcome! Glad to have you. Yeah this place has been a bit quiet lately but there are some regulars. I'm 11 months in myself so I don't have a ton myself but I also want to put my name out there as well in case anyone ever has a question.

Hi, now that you've had your braces off, have you noticed any color differences in the areas of your teeth that had the brackets on?

That’s good to know. I plan on getting my teeth professionally whitened after I get my braces off, but was concerned they might color differently while I had them on.
