Im not new to braces but am actually at my second pair. I began my treatment about three years ago to correct a severe overbite and had some weird braces with long metal things that prevented sideway movement with my mouth and forced my kin forward.
Those metal things did have some advantages thought. After a while I could balance them on each other wich was kind of fun even if it made me look like a complete idiot sometimes when i was in public.
I really can relate to much of the stuff i've read here as the first weeeks was absolute misery. Nothing but soup and baby food for about two weeks. How much nicer wouldn't it have been if I found this great site back then because my friends and family probably got tired of hearing my complaints.
My current pair that i got about half a year ago is just for aesthetics. I need to close some gaps. Not much to complain about. They are no trouble at all compared with my earlier pair.
Nice to see another member from Sweden. I have had my consultations but I'm not sure if I will go further. If so it will be just for aestetics and not for any health reasons.
This site has been very informative and usefull for getting answers and straightening things out. (No pun in mind).

So, you guys are from the same town are you? What are the odds of that? (As you said ). I'm not Swedish by the way but I do speak it (well a little, I'm still learning) and I'm getting married in Sweden.

Hi. I was wondering a few days ago if you was a Swede living abroad. Your nick Svensk Tiger made me think about the Swedish military that had a slogan during the 2:nd world war "En svensk tiger". Meaning that a Swede will shut up and not speak about secrets.
I thought it quite amusing to find out that there was two members on this board from this small town (pop. 32000) in the south of Sweden.

That's where my name came from actually! I saw it on a postcard when in Sweden a few years ago, the picture was of a blue and yellow striped moose. and I thought it was really cool. This was before I knew where the saying came from but it's been my username ever since!
