I'm getting my braces on January 9th. Is anyone else getting braces in January?

Upper and lower metal braces
Estimated treatment time: 20 months

Hi,

Yep, I'm getting braces fitted on 17th Jan . . . . am really dreading it!

. . . .I have really spotty skin and work in high school . . .so reckon I'm going to look like the oldest geeky teenager in the place!

How is everyone else feeling about getting braces?

hey everyone
I am getting expanders on Jan 16 and braces on Jan. 23(ceramics or porcelain on top (is there a difference) and metal on bottom. I will have braces for about 30 months and I cannot wait to get started. I cannot wait till I finally get my braces. How about everyone else. Is anybody as excited as I am or are most people dreading it? 8)

I am awaiting my braces over Christmas break (I work for a school), I am very excited.

Hiya,

I get my braces the day after you . . .I wish I had your positive attitude am totally dreading it!

I expect to have braces (top & bottom) for about 24 months and then retainers for another year after that.

Hey I know it is new and we do not know what it will be like but you just have to take it one day at a time. Think about how beautiful your smile wil be at the end of 2 years. Since we are starting together we can go through all the different experiences together and console one another when we are at our wits in. I know feeling like someone understands how I feel always help me get through difficult times. I am glad I have met you through this board. :D
