That is not a really big opening at all. I agree with the comments that the tooth that is slightly slanted looks like it needs to be adjusted. When I think of gaps, I think of 3-4mm gaps.
Wow, this is crazy, I have EXACTLY the same gap left in EXACTLY the same place! I started out with many big gaps (the whole reason for my treatment) and they have all closed, except this one. I have a very slightly tipped tooth, just like the one you're talking about, and I can't decide if that tooth needs to be adjusted, or if the canine needs to be pulled in more. It's getting very frustrating, since all of my gaps closed in the space of about three months, except this one! Argh! Although, admittedly, the gap has closed CONDIDERABLY from where it started (almost big enough to fit another tooth...).
Has your ortho said anything about this gap to you? I would be curious to know what options there are, because I am NOT getting rid of my braces until this stupid gap is closed. I feel like it hasn't moved at all in a couple of months, despite the powerchains.
I just wanted to add that is looks like you have a small lateral incisor. The tooth does not appear overly slanted - your latest panorex would show this. This tooth is very often too small and the space you highlited is a function of size and tooth anatomy. Oftentimes the best way to close a space "like" this is with cosmetic bonding.
Question: are your right and left teeth the same size in mm? Also, are your midlines on and bite the same on both sides? It may be more than just needing some detailing of the slant (2nd order) position of this tooth.
Have you had your last adjustment? It looks like there is time for this final movement. If not, talk to your ortho. Surely he wouldn't take your braces off if you were not satisfied with the results.

Always listen to your heart, cause even though it's on your left, it's always right.
