braces soon

well im going to be getting spacers feb. 20th and top braces feb.24th and no bottoms just a retainer so what should i expect as for pain and how long does it take and what did you people feel the first time you went in im very happy and a little nervous

Well, it's probably different for everyone. I currently have spacers in now and will be braced this Thursday morning. I read several posts on spacer discomfort. I however had no real pain. A bit annoying at times at it felt like I was biting down on a super ball or something. I also can not eat on that side of my mouth. Nothing a little advil can't take care of.

Relax, just relax. Were all nervous. I'm getting pretty nervous as the braces date approches. I try to think of it this way. Gillions of people get braced every year and find a way to manage, and so will I.

I found the spacers to be the most painful thing, but my teeth are very close together. I just got my braces on a week ago. Feel free to check out my blog for my experience:
