adjustment times

#1 Post by Whitney »

Hi everyone...
Thanls to the support of my fiance, I have now had my braces on for two months. I teach eighth-grade, so I had to go to school looking like one of my students with a mouth full of metal! My fiance and I will be married in the summer and I will still have them on; ugh...
Anyway, the one "issue" is that I have my adjustment appointments about every 8 weeks. My fiance, who had braces for 4 years, is unwavering in his belief that I should be going once a month even if it is for a "check up." Any thoughts??? I hate to wear these any longer than necessary...

If I've learned nothing else from this forum over the last year... it's that each Doctor is different and no two treatment plans are the same.

Shout out to anyone who sees their ortho at least once a month - let's have a roll call!

Lately I have been going in for adjustments every 3-4 weeks! I think that is because of my impacted cuspids but I actually feel better when I go in more. I almost feel like my treatment is progressing more.

I think you shoul dtalk to your ortho about going in every 8 weeks!

Good luck!

Top braces: 4/28/04
Bottom braces: 11/16/05
Next Adjustment is 2/1/06 where they will bond a bracket to my cuspid which was impacted!!!!
