Got you all beat! I got Damon 3s at age 58. That was about 5 months into a wonderful relationship; last month (6.5 months into it), we got married! Fortunately, I look younger anyway....like about 50, or so my sweet stepdaughter tells me. Or maybe 15! LOL.

Best to all,

Laura

I just got braced last week and I decided on Speed, which seem to be very similar to the Damons in that they're self-litigating. I did a lot of research and I figured that those would be best for me because the brackets are smaller and have NO LIGS! They are supposed to be easier to clean and that was absolutely the most important thing to me. Granted I've only had them on for a week but they do indeed seem to be very easy to keep clean. A few quick rinses after eating do the trick but I'm still going to make an effort to brush more than twice a day. Also, they haven't torn up my inside lip at all. The first day there was a little bit of roughness where my eyeteeth flare out but that was it and it went away the next day. Guess I won't be needing that wax I got in my goodie bag!

I hope hope hope that they really are faster so my two extraction gaps close sooner and I can ditch the horrible Nance thingy - blech!

Hi!

I'm 23 and I've got Damon 3s. There's only been two times so far that I've been in any pain: after being braced and after getting elastics. Other than that, there's just minor soreness after each adjustment.

At my last visit, my ortho's assistant said she's seen people get done with their treatment 6-12 months earlier than their estimated completion time. I'm crossing my fingers that I'm one of those lucky ones! I have had braces for 7 months and already I've seen dramatic results:

I would highly recommend them. My experience with them has been great so far. :)

hi I got Damons yesterday. My ortho said I could have either ceramic or Damons he didn't mind, but if I was going to go for top and bottom he thought the Damons would be good. I didn't like the idea of elastics and the speed sounded good too. Also, an assistant there who has Damons on, but previously had ceramics just raved about the Damons saying they were much more comfortable.
Damon3 upper & lowers
plus bite turbos on upper front teeth and one elastic closing a gap on front lower teeth and one closing a gap on upper front teeth. Elastics on hooks both sides.
