Arch wire

#1 Post by krennen »

After my first adjustment, I made sure the ends of my arch wire weren't poking me in the cheek. I was so happy not to have to use wax. Now about ten days later one side is "poking" into my cheek especially when I eat. Is it possible that the wire has moved back or is this all in my mind!

I'm in the same position as you. It's because your teeth have moved again.

I had a wire poking me 2 days after getting braced. Called the ortho on monday morning, had me in, in less than an hour and grinded down the poking wire, and all was well.
