Dry metal tasting mouth

Ever since I got my braces on the top in January and then got the bottoms today I have had a very dry mouth..has anyone else had this problem? I have clear on top and every since I got those first set of braces I have had a metal taste in my mouth. It's worse today with the new lower braces. I also have had an upset stomach since the tops were put on which I am not sure is from 1) the metal taste in my mouth 2) not being able to eat alot of solid food or 3) just general stress from not being able to eat anything I want and having to spend alot more time thinking-out meals. Drinking plenty of water and I cracked a tooth right before I had the braces started so lots of xrays and probing so I know there are no infections anywhere else. Thanks for the support!!!!!!!!!! Karen
