#1 Post by poloaa »

I have my two upper second biscupids (left and right) extrated at around 10:30am eastern time this morning, how soon will i feel pain?? i feel ok and just YUCK about the bleeding. The extraction was super fast, it just took for about one min to extract two teeth, my lord, one tooth is about 20 second, quick quick and i did not feel any pain, just some pressure and heard some sound.

more later i will make my spacers and banding appt later.

I had five teeth pulled (3 wisdoms, two premolars) and had almost zero pain. The only pain I had was a bit of a sore throat the day after, and my jaw felt like I had been chewing too much gum for a couple days. I had no pain at all from my premolar extractions.

No pain sounds like a good thing to me. You should enjoy it. And follow their advice because you don't want a dry socket. Those definitely hurt!

The only pain I had was during the extractions. After that, no pain, just bleedy.

I didnt felt a little pain. The most pain was from the injection sites and when they were trying to pull one of my teeth out i felt it so they gave more numbing stuff. The day after my jaw ached a little but other than that i was fine accept the blood and the funny looks i was getting on the bus on the way home. I had my left side done one week and my right the week after.

If the gauze is soaked through a good thing is a tea bag, just your regular old tea. Helps stop the bleeding. Yeah it is possible to bleed for a long time after extractions so i wouldnt panic.

Poloaa-- I believe that you can bite down on the gauze to help stop the bleeding. Also, you might try moistening a tea bag (something like Lipton, if you have that handy or where you live) and biting down on that for awhile. The tannin in the tea will help stop the bleeding. Also, I think aspirin will encourage bleeding, so maybe be wary of what painkillers you are taking and avoid anything contaning aspirin.

But you should probably call your dentist/surgeon first to learn what their recommendation is (or have someone call for you if you can't speak).

I'm glad you aren't feeling pain!

I had an impacted wisdom tooth "dug out" LOL today at about 3pm.

I left the first piece of gaze in for 30 minutes. It started bleeding again so I put another in for 1 hour (fell asleep). Haven't noticed any more bleeding.... I did get three stitches so they might be helping.

I'm just know getting the feeling back in my mouth (well on that side). Was told it would be numb for about 5 hours. I took Tylenal3 just to make sure it doesn't start hurting, since I'm getting ready for bed soon.

I ate potato soup for dinner and a snack lol ... cut in really small pieces, I always do small pieces though so it doesn't take long to make (25 min maybe) Could always mash them up a bit to if needed.
