Braces placed over existing bridge???

#1 Post by ladygal »

Has anyone had braces placed on their existing bridge? My ortho told me that it would be ok, but then when they placed the braces they were very concerned that the bracket would stay stuck. I've been told absoutely NO biting in the front...to try to keep the bracket on.

Does anyone else have this situation????

I have a bridge in the back covering 2 molars. They have to use a special bonding agent to cement to porcelin, but I have had mine on for 5 months now and we even currently have a powerchain connected to it. I have also used rubberbands on it. I'm sure things will be fine.
