I'm the owner/admin of this site. Had ceramic uppers, metal lowers ~3 years in my early 40's. Now in Hawley retainers at night!

Thanks, makes sense when you read it.

I've never been interested in changing my ligs and risk prolonging treatment. I'd far sooner put up with staining.

I actually tried it once when my powerchain broke, but failed miserably. :oops: (I had a sample of some powerchain that had been sent to me from an ortho company). I tried so hard, but couldn't get the damned thing to stay on. You really do need the correct type of pliers to do it. I tried in vain for 20 minutes and then just gave up! :roll:

I would never want to change my own ligs! Is it just me or does it hurt when you have them changed? I dont want to subject myself to anymore pain than possible!
