I am in my late 20s and I am going to get braces for the second time tomorrow (2/9/18). I am quite nervous about it but I am glad to be on a forum with adults who sought orthodontic treatment as well.

I have Damon Braces and I got them this Monday at the age of 37.

First time around I was 19! I was on the list for 6 years I was supposed to have them way earlier now I'm having them at 34 along with sarpe surgery and palate expander lucky me lol

I am SO relieved to see how many fellow 22-29 year olds are getting braces! I am 25 (nearly 26) and had my initiial appointment today. This statistic has made me feel so much better about everything :)

Hi guys, just got mine on Friday so could say i'm still getting used to them. I thought I was quite a late bloomer getting them at 28 but surprisingly it seems that is when the majority of people on this forum get them! My ortho says i'll have mine on for atleast 14 months. I started typing out a brief intro but then it turned in to a big post since i'm overly excited about all this so i'll post up a separate introductory thread :)

I'm 27 (turning 28 exactly 2 weeks from today) and I just started my braces journey. Maybe I should've done it as a teenager, but when you're in the band you don't have time for braces :lol:

In all seriousness, there were only a few minor things about my smile on the outside that didn't bother me too much to take the plunge, but now that I know all the problems on the inside I kinda want the beautiful straight teeth. So here I am making the investment.

I got mine at 47! I just got them off today.

I wish I'd done it years ago, but realistically I realized that even 5 years ago I wouldn't have had the patience to go through it.

First time when I was around 12 (removable palatal expanders). As a kid I wasn't complying, so treatment failed and got them again at 15. I needed braces afterwards, but didn't want them, so I got fixed braces at the age of 33.
