Hiya, so why are you braced for a second time? What happened?

55 year old female from Washington state Braces 1st time. 29 months in braces, coming off in 3 weeks !!!!!

Female, 28, Romania (somewhere in Europe). Am getting braces in few days (Damon at first, Invisalign afterwards)... 20 months time treatment

I'm 25, got braces a month and a half ago (turned 25 three weeks ago). My first 'official' adjustment is on June 16. When I was banded the brace fell off one of my lower bicuspids before I even left the office. The ortho decided that it would be best to put a band on it. They popped in a spacer and I had to return in two weeks to get that band put on, and they changed both my upper & lower wires + ligs at that time.

Female age 36, braces put on yesterday, May 30. Upper clear, lower metal brackets. All I can say is owww! The hook on my upper left canine is poking something fierce. My new best friends are Motrin and wax.

Hiya, so why are you braced for a second time? What happened?

bracesafter40, I was almost all done with my treatment and my parents both lost their jobs and had to declare bankruptcy. One of the bills they couldn't pay was the remainder of the ortho bill, so my ortho refused to finish my treatment.

I called around to other orthos to see if someone could take off my braces and give me a retainer, but-- while no ortho would take off another ortho's braces-- they would all happily fit me for a retainer if I was magically rid of the braces...

Sooo, I pulled out some pliers and took off all my braces and bands myself and made an appointment. In the meantime of waiting, all 4 of my wisdom teeth came in and recrowded all of my bottom teeth again.

Well, my braces are apparently imparing my brain function too! I forgot to mention that I live in central Ohio.

Had a removable appliance on my upper teeth for 1 year when I was 12 and right now I'm in spacers getting braces (metal) on top and bottom for 24 months on 11 June!

I'M 22, from Texas and i'll be getting braces for the first time in the last week of June or first week in July!

..Currently waiting on my other appts. for wisdom tooth removal along with 3 bicuspids

Was supposed to happen months ago but i got sick and missed my appts. for cavities being filled, so here i am now stressfully waiting for my appt. dates!
