Slovenia - I was there in 2004!! Beautiful country it is too. And I loved the wine. So much so that I shlepped 6 bottles back to Australia!

Had a removable appliance on my upper teeth for 1 year when I was 12 and right now I'm in spacers getting braces (metal) on top and bottom for 24 months on 11 June!

Female, 30 (31 on 7/21) in the Washington, DC suburbs. Pendulum appliance since February 2006, bottom braces on 4/13, top braces on July 19th. Full metal. This is my first time in braces and I have an 18 month sentence.

29 Female, Bay Area, California. Ceramic uppers and lowers. First time in braces. Just had my first adjustment yesterday. Not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Although today I'm still a little sore. 22.5 months to go.

I'm from a little town in Central Pennsyvania. You can't find it on any map anywhere, so it's easier to tell you that I live close to State College. (We Are... PENN STATE!)

I'm a 20 year old female, and I'm close to 2 weeks into my braces journey, which is expect to last about 24 months. I have ceramic uppers, and metal lowers. Most people don't even notice that I have braces. Those who do know, tell me that they look good. Already i'm seeing minor movement and changes in my teeth. I have a lot of crowding, and a bite problem. I go for my first follow up appointment on Friday. Ortho said he might do an adjustment then, because he expects my initial movement to be very quick. Yay!

I've had all 4 wisdom teeth surgically extracted, as well as 4 additional extractions to make room for movement throughout the process.

I've had my metal lowers on since May 1st 2006 and my ceramic uppers on since September 8th 2006.

Giant improvement, my ortho calls me her 'poster child' but shes just saying that to be nice.

Speaking of wisdom teeth... I haven't gotten mine out. eek!
