Clo, I'm glad to see the waiting game is over now and things have started rolling again. They didn't give up on you, that tells a lot. If they didn't see this as a problem they can solve, they wouldn't have you going through the motions just for the heck of it. Here's to declaring this the point of your luck finally turning to the right direction! Hugs!
Case: Impacted canines, crowding & crossbite.
Treatment: SARPE 2004/10/6, RPE 2004/9/28 - 2005/1/31, w-arch until 2005/11/22, impacted canines extracted 2005/5/18.
Braces on: top 2005/6/2, bottom 2005/8/30.
Braces off: 2008/6/9.
Retainers, phase one: expanding Hawley retainer 24/7, bonded retainers on top & bottom.
Retainers, phase two: Hawley on top, bonded both top & bottom, positioner for night time use.

Eh, nothing new to report.

Except that the wire slowly aligns a bit better my teeth. The wire does not look
so "wavy" anymore. But when I look at my profile, it looks like my overjet is
even getting worse. I know about the getting worse before getting better, but
it looks so bad now that it scares me a lot.

I also wanted to thank "the second group" who encouraged me. Thanks Denise,
Joe, Granola, Joplin and of course Hannah. Great to see your post too Hannah !

the job without extracting. More difficult but still very well doable. Now, the
ortho again said they must be extracted. Not now, but when they will start
pulling everything backwards. Need to, needn't to, need to ... gosh I really
hate such things..
why not just go ahead and remove them then? what do you need them for anyway?

Is that illegal on this forum to post in old threads?

Don't worry about it, felicia - RedDress's posts have been a bit "testy" in the last couple of days.

She only asked if you realized the thread was so old. Its a reasonable question, I mean asking why don't they go ahead and remove the teeth when it is now 3 years after the fact just doesn't make sense. Whatever was done that long ago with regards to extractions is a done deal by now.
