Hi Ekin!!
I managed to convince myself that I would be the only person in the entire universe who would NEVER EVER get used to these horrid, scratchy, irritating bits of metal/ceramic/teflon cemented into my mouth that made my teeth ache and the sides of my cheeks bleed. But on Christmas Day, while I was chomping my way through dates, nuts, Christmas pud, the lot, I suddenly realised that my mouth felt back to normal - and no, it was not too much brandy butter on my mince pies!!
It has taken three months for me - a lot longer than most people, but at least it has happened! In fact, I'm slightly wishing they'd get sore again, then I wouldn't be eating so much. "Luckily" I'm getting fixed up with a quad helix in Jan...
Don't despair, your mouth will get used to things sooner than you realise!

I found drinking hot tea most comforting, but to think about it, the archwire straightens at higher temperatures, so it may be better to take something cold like ice cream to make it more pliable. Any excuse for ice cream I say... :-88
