Well, extraction no.1 is over, and I'm glad it was on a Friday, because I couldn't have worked afterwards, or today...

One aspect of extractions that I didn't see discussed in the thread is anesthetic. Depending on what you get for the extraction, you might not want to go back to work! I know that I slept for several hours after - not because of the extraction, but because I had IV sedation.

I've been wondering about this too. My original b-day was supposed to be last Thursday so I could have the weekend to get used them, but things didn't work out, so we moved it to this coming Tuesday.

I have to go into work beforehand, but am considering to take the rest of the day off just to get used to them. I'm really nervous about getting them. 2 of my bosses will be traveling on Wednesday, so I probably won't have to talk too much and continue adjusting to my braces.

As for the extractions, I plan on scheduling my extractions on a Friday like I did with my wisdom teeth. It seemed to work out well.
