I have ceramics and my child has metals, and, they are definately more bulky than his. Kinda strange he would tell you that. Maybe he has a different kind than I.

Arieswithbraces... I have Invu ceramics on top and metals on the bottom and the ceramic brackets are definitely much bigger than the metals.
Overall I think the ceramics are less noticeable due to the colour, but less bulky they ain't!

I haven't seen even one other adult with braces since I got mine. I know a few people whose kids have them but that's all.

Oh well, hopefully that means I'll have the nicest teeth of all the people my age when they come off!!! :D

My bad everyone :? ... I meant to say MORE bulky...I think I was thinking faster than I was typing! Actually...I'll blame it on the spacers! I'm counting down...2 more days and hopefully I'll be braced...I'd like to see how they are going to fit a molar band around this tooth right beside the one I'm supposed to get extracted. One of my spacers came out this morning.. :D !!

I went to a Denver SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM game a couple of weeks ago and I think I saw one of the player's wives with braces. Meaning I think it was player's wife, the person definetly had braces!

I'm on a roll with seeing adults in braces!

On Saturday, I saw one woman in braces working at the Forever 21 in the mall. She looked like she was in her 30's. And also in Forever 21, the girl in front of me online had braces. I'm going to guess that she was in her late 20's.

Then today, I started a summer class at a local college and the girl who sat next to me has braces. We chatted some today so I'm thinking that at some point, we will end up talking a little bit about our braces. She's right around my age, graduating a semester after me.

I must be more fortunate. I had a co-worker with braces before I even had my on. She just has the lower set on now. Plus, my boss from a former employer and another former co-worker both had braces before I was even considering the possibility.

I've seen so many adults with braces in my area. I've been playing sand volleyball and at least 2 of my recent opponents have had braces. I don't think that I would even have noticed if I didn't have the braces!

My boss is getting braces! She's 39...we're trying to see who's going to get theirs 1st. I'm pretty sure I will...she smokes cigarettes and had to go to the periodontist. And my coworkers kids, 21 and 15 are getting them.
